This past weekend, Ellie and I hosted our first ever Ethical Fashion Pop-Up! So many of our favorite ethical brands are only available online and we wanted to take the opportunity to invite them to be a part of a pop-up to allow our friends, coworkers, families and neighbors to touch and see their beautiful items and hear the redemptive stories of their brand in person.
Y’all, we had no idea of what to expect. We thought a few people would show up, a few sales would be made, some awareness would be raised, and life would go on. Turns out, our friends are passionate people and you all showed up in droves! Thank you to everyone that spread the word, invited their friends, and purchased with purpose. You all are amazing.
We hosted seven brands:
- Noonday Collection: They still have a birthday sale going on: 20% off all Ugandan jewelry.
- Elegantees: You can still get 10% off with the code ‘DressWellDoGood’
- The Root Collective: You can get 10% off with our referral code.
- Imagine Goods
- Green Ampersand
- Purse & Clutch
- Ten Thousand Villages
And we wanted to share some stories from our friends and vendors of their ethical fashion thoughts and journeys, because this blog is definitely not all about me and Ellie, it’s about all of you too. See their stories on our instagram feed.
A big shout-out to our dear friends who volunteered their precious time to help with set-up and tear down, representing brands that couldn’t be in Austin for the event and for their invaluable support. Thank you!
